The trio of lights feature large birds and are surrounded by coloured glass of an unusual type made from at least 1896 by Chance Brothers<\/p>\n

Kensal Green<\/b>\u00a0is a fast-developing area in north-west\u00a0London<\/a>, in the London boroughs of\u00a0Brent<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kensington and Chelsea<\/a>. The surrounding areas are\u00a0Harlesden<\/a>\u00a0to the west,\u00a0Willesden<\/a>\u00a0to the north, Brondesbury and\u00a0Queens Park<\/a>\u00a0to the east and\u00a0North Kensington<\/a>\u00a0and White City to the south.<\/p>\n

The area has seen significant gentrification over recent years, attracting people from surrounding areas such as Notting Hill and\u00a0Queens Park<\/a>. It is now characterised by numerous independent stores, restaurants, pubs and cafes and is earning a reputation as a ‘celebrity haunt-meets-Nappy Valley<\/p>\n

The area is now characterised by numerous independent stores, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Popular cafes include Bel and Nev, Cable, Sonora and Wild Card. Pubs include The Island, The Whippet, The Chamberlayne and Parlour – all of which offer outdoor dining. The area also features original sixties gentleman’s hairdresser Gee Barber, which has featured in numerous TV shows and commercials including one for Pinterest.<\/p>\n

It is now home to a number of noteworthy residents including musicians\u00a0Paloma Faith<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Rita Ora<\/a>, chef Thomasina Miers,[5]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0film director, DJs and musicians\u00a0Don Letts<\/a>\u00a0and Mark Rae, actress\u00a0Thandie Newton<\/a>, singer\u00a0Lily Allen<\/a>, model-turned-author\u00a0Sophie Dahl<\/a>, author\u00a0Zadie Smith<\/a>,\u00a0David Cameron<\/a>‘s ex-strategy guru\u00a0Steve Hilton<\/a>, the actor and writer\u00a0Phoebe Waller-Bridge<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sienna Miller<\/a>.[6]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n
